Advance the needle 1-2mm
in direction of the detected flow sound. Stop and scan again for maximum signal.
Continue the procedure until the desired vessel is punctured. Once the needle
penetrates the vessel, the signal intensity increases.
Finally, remove the probe
from the needle and proceed with your catheter of choice.
