World leader in ophthalmic and vascular acccess products
This 20 gage provides a unique tip configuration which enables directional illumination control, thus reducing the glare and allowing for manipulation of the iris for improved visualization of the vitreous arrangement during anterior vitrectomies.
Developed in partnership with Dr. Steven Siepser, M.D. of Wills Eye Hopsital, the allows for more dynamic and complete management of vitreous within the anterior chamber, when compared with the use of straight.
The Siepser Shielded Light Probe is just the latest in innovative fiber optic instruments offered by Medical, the recognized leader in providing into the eye. For more information please call Escalon's Customer Service at 800-433-8197 (262-821-8197), and ask about our special introductory pricing.

VitLite Eliminates harmful UV Clarifies red tissue images and membranes The VitLite I source produces daylight illumination to enhance intraocular visualization, photography and videography. With an effective color temperature of 5000°K minimum, the white improves definition of tissue images. The VitLite I combines a low energy halide arc lamp with patented trek technology to make illumination appear whiter. Harmful UV and IR are virtually eliminated to produce strictly visible from 420 nanometers to 700 nanometers. Compare the VitLite I with your present source and see the difference.
Escalon's series of fiber optic light accommodate a variety of procedural needs, from straight pipes to picks to knives. A wide angle is also available to provide illumination throughout the posterior chamber. Two other styles have been recently introduced: the Siepser shielded probe and the Hardten iris retractor probe, which provide illumination and unique tip configurations for more dynamic and complete management of vitreous in the anterior chamber. The can connect directly to Trek and Greishaber style sources (-61 series) or to most other brands of sources (-11 series with use of appropriate adaptor (see below)). The superior quality of Escalon's fiber optic probes enables you to see the difference.
Hardten Illuminated Iris Retractor Probe 23 ga. designed to fit through a 2mm clear cornea incision Hooked tip for manipulation and retraction of iris Optimal visualization of anterior vitreous Sterile, ready to use In cases where anterior vitrectomy is required, the Hardten probe provides optimal visualization for removal of anterior vitreous. The reverse hook tip allows for manipulation of iris for improving visualization to critical areas. The 23 ga. can be placed through most incisions.
Siepser Shielded Light Probe 20 ga. Probe Hooded tip design shields glare from surgeon Directs onto vitreous and away from surgeon Optimal visualization of anterior vitreous Sterile, ready to use The Siepser Shielded probe provides directional illumination to highlight while protecting the surgeon from glare. The tip is designed with a micro extension to shield glare and focus illumination to better define vitreous.
