Seipser Shielded Probe

u
The Siepser Shielded Probe provides surgeons with an indirect illumination system that allows the corneal interface and anterior chamber to be easily visualized through the laser microscope leading to improved management of LASK, DLK management, anterior vitrectomies, and membranectomies.

Through use of the Tindal effect and light scatter technique, the surgeon can enhance visualization of interface debris, epithelial deposits, flap edge folds, corneal flap striae, and flap alignment. Use of the probe allows the surgeon to address corneal flap management issues while patient is under the laser microscope, resulting in a positive effect on patient care and efficiency.

The Siepser Shielded Light Probe is also extremely useful in efficiently and effectively removing Decemet’s membrane during DSAEK.
