uEscalon Medical Corp operates in the healthcare market specializing in the development,
umanufacture, marketing and distribution of medical devices and pharmaceuticals in the areas of
uophthalmology, diabetes, hematology and vascular access. Specifically, the company has six
uprimary wholly-owned operating subsidiaries:

Escalon Vascular Access develops, manufactures and markets ultrasound technology for
uuuassisted vascular access. The PD Access™ and SmartNeedle™ Doppler-guided vascular
uuuaccess assemblies are patented devices which utilize a miniature Doppler ultrasound probe
uuupositioned within the lumen of a needle to locate and access arteries or veins. The VascuView™
uuuvisual ultrasound provides high resolution 2D imaging of subcutaneous structures including
uuublood vessels to guide vascular access of standard needles and catheters. The devices are
uuudistributed worldwide and used across several specialty groups including cardiac
uuucatheterization labs, intensive and critical care units, anesthesia, cancer centers, interventional
uuuradiology, and others.

uuuDrew Scientific
uuuDrew Scientific is a leading provider of instruments and reagents for blood analysis, including
uuucell counters for hematology, chemistry analyzers, and hemoglobin analyzers for diabetes.
uuuDrew specializes in servicing the needs of small- and mid-sized facilities for both human and
uuuveterinary practices.

uuuJAS Diagnostics
uuuJAS Diagnostics specializes in the manufacture of a broad range of liquid stable, diagnostic
uuuchemistry reagents. Many of these reagents are available as single-vial stable, which offer
uuuease of use, increased speed of results, and extended on-board stability, among other
uuusuperior performance characteristics.

uuuEscalon Digital Solutions
uuuEscalon Digital Solutions provides digital imaging solutions for fundus and slit lamp
uuuphotography used by both retinal specialists and general ophthalmologists. High-resolution /
uuulow-noise cutting-edge sensor technology and unique image processing algorithms help
uuudifferentiate Escalon Digital Solutions systems by providing best-in-class quality for color,
uuufluorescein, ICG, autofluorescence, and slit lamp digital imaging. The exclusive OphthaVision
uuuimaging and angiography software provides a complete and scalable set of tools for analysis,
uuumeasurement, image management, and networking.

uuuSonomed
uuuSonomed is the worldwide leader in ophthalmic ultrasound, with 30 years of experience helping
uuuophthalmic professionals use ultrasound to measure, diagnose, and plan. Sonomed offers
uuutechnology geared for many specific purposes within ophthalmology, including A-scans for
uuubiometric readings and cataract management, pachymetry for measurement of corneal
uuuthickness necessary for LASIK screening and intraocular pressure interpretation, traditional B-
uuuscans for diagnostic imaging, and ultrasound biomicroscopy (UBM) for high-frequency B-scan
uuuimaging useful in many applications including intraocular lens implantation and glaucoma
uuumanagement.

uuuTrek Medical
uuuTrek is focused on providing devices primarily for use in vitreoretinal surgical applications,
uuuincluding intraocular gases used as tamponades following repair of retinal tears, gas and
uuusilicone oil delivery systems, fiber optic light guides and light sources for visualization of the
uuusurgical field, and various other surgical instruments. Trek distributes products both directly and
uuuthrough private-label agreements with partner companies.
